William Hafferty

Billy Hafferty has been coaching full-time for the past 5 years and holds certifications from both USA Triathlon and USA Cycling.

Billy found the world of endurance athletics shortly after graduating from college and quickly fell in love with all aspects and disciplines that come along with it. His athletic career started young as an offensive lineman on his football team and a prop on the rugby team. He played both through his college years at Massachusetts Maritime Academy where he also graduated with a degree in Marine/Mechanical Engineering. He has practiced and raced in just about every type of race out there; long-distance triathlons including the Ironman World Championship, long-distance running including the UTMB, 10k open water swims, and many other non-sanctioned events. He currently holds the record for the fastest Antarctic Ice Marathon and if he’s not training or racing, he can usually be found in the mountains somewhere with his dog, Aero.

My favorite part of coaching and racing is helping develop a strong and confident mindset around the race or competition.
